After making teas etc, I spent 45mins setting up the diorama, only to find an old controller that I had bought with me had decided to pack up. A quick rewire with one of the Roundy’s controllers and hey presto all back in action. I then demonstrated how the layout worked using the new EKOGG ‘sector plate removable cassette’, a first in model railway operations.
I then asked for any comments. Two people mentioned that they did not like the look of the coal siding being straight, could it come off at an angle. Also, could we move the goods yard entrance to the front. I replied I have no problem with any of that as it’s a club layout, I want everyone to have some input. Members said they had various buildings / structures that they could donate to the diorama, so I said bring them along next Wednesday. I need to put it up again so we can get more ideas and feedback as what needs to be done. We then sat had more teas / coffees, chatted, before tidying up and going home. Member’s comment: ‘an excellent meeting’. David Ho
